• When should I start looking for the best dress ever?

    We recommend purchasing your gown a minimum of 12 months in advance of your wedding date. Our gowns are handmade to order and some take up to 8 months from ordering to delivery into the studio. Gowns are ordered using your measurements at time of ordering but will need altering to ensure the perfect fit, adding more time. Of course, if you want to look earlier that is fab, the more time the better. That all being said if you are short on time we can arrange for a gown to be ‘rushed’ for a fee. 

  • Do I need an appointment?

    Yes please! 

    B&B work on an appointment only basis, ensuring you and your VIP guests have exclusive use of the studio is a priority to make the experience more personal and allow you to feel chilled out whilst shopping and trying on.

  • What should I wear for my appointment?

    Nude, seam free underwear is your friend! 

    Try not to worry too much about a bra as most of the gowns have support sewn in, if you are still wanting to wear a bra – strapless is best. The wrong underwear can change the whole look of a gown for the worse so get yourself some of Primark’s finest. 

    Feeling a little more modest? That’s fine too, if you want to bring shapewear or leggings and a vest top we welcome that too but trust me when I say I’ve seen it all before and you are in safe hands. 


    Please refrain from wearing fake tan, lipstick, strong scents and too much makeup. If you want time to fix your make up after your appointment ready to grab afternoon tea or a few cocktails let us know and we’ll block out some extra time.



  • What size are your gowns in the studio?

    We have gowns ranging from UK size 10 to UK size 18 in the studio with most being a UK 12 or 14, we unfortunately do not stock every gown in every size. 

    If you are worried we won’t have your size just let us know and we can source that size in advance of your appointment. Don’t worry, we’ve got you.

  • Who should I bring?

    Your biggest cheerleaders! We are a small but perfectly formed studio, not a huge shop and therefore we request you bring a maximum of 3 guests with you and we would recommend you choose these VIPs very carefully. 

    Bring people who share your wedding vision, who build you up, who will help you not hinder you. Your wedding gown is possibly the most emotional purchase you’ll ever make, make it as easy for yourself with your guests as possible. 

    Oh and if you want to shop alone that is also ace and a lot more brides do that than you’d think. 

  • Dollar dollar bills y’all….

    To order your gown you will be required to pay a 60% deposit and the balance will be due 8 weeks later. 

    Accessories and additions must be paid for in full at time of ordering.

    Alterations are not included in the price of your gown.

    We accept all major credit cards and cash but no cheques. 


  • What happens next?

    When you order your amazing gown, your measurements will be taken. Your gown will be ordered according to the designers measurements chart in your nearest size.

    Your gown will then be delivered to the studio within the time frame as discussed in your appointment. Your dress will need to be altered to make sure it fits you perfectly!

    We partner with a fantastic seamstress, Natalie. Natalie is completely independent from Bustle & Bow although you are able to meet and have your fittings with her at the studio. You are under no obligation to use Natalie.

    You will normally need around 2-3 fittings appointments. Please be aware any alteration fees are not included in the price of your gown and will need to be agreed with your seamstress separately.
